Jim and I settled in Marshfield in June of 1988. We moved here from Aurora, CO in search of a lower cost of living as our income had changed. We moved to this area because Jim had two sisters living in Springfield. Both he and I had been married before. I had two daughters living in Colorado and Jim’s daughter lived in Oklahoma. Both my daughters stayed in Colorado when we moved here. Jim’s sisters have both passed away. I say all this because in 2020 things changed, My oldest daughter passed away due to health issues. Later in 2020 my youngest daughter passed away from aggressive cancer. Jim’s health was slowly diminishing as he had many health issues. I was able to keep him at home until I could no longer keep him from falling and get him to the bathroom and bed without help. In May of 2022 I moved Jim to Marshfield Care and he passed away on June 10th. With no immediate family the church has become my family and has supported me through all of this. He is a good Father In times of loneliness and uncertainty, it's comforting to remember that we have a good Father who is always there for us. Life can leave us feeling isolated and alone, but in those moments, we can find solace in the presence of God and His church. Romans 8:15 (NIV): "The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him, we cry, 'Abba, Father.'" God is often described as a loving and caring Father, and just like any good parent, He is always ready to provide for His children. When we feel like we're falling into the gaps and cracks of life, God is there to catch us. He is our refuge and strength, a constant presence in our lives. His church also plays a vital role in filling the gaps and cracks that life can create. The church is not just a building; it's a community of believers who come together to support and uplift one another. In times of loneliness, the church can be a source of companionship and encouragement. It's a place where we can find fellowship, build meaningful relationships, and experience the love of God through the love of others. When we gather with fellow believers, we are reminded that we are not alone in our struggles. We are part of a larger family, bound together by our faith in a good Father who watches over us. Through the church, we can find practical support and guidance for the challenges we face. Whether it's through prayer, counseling, or simply a listening ear, the church is there to help us navigate the ups and downs of life. So, when life leaves you feeling alone and vulnerable, remember that you have a good Father who cares for you deeply. Lean on Him for strength and turn to His church for support. Together, they will fill the gaps and cracks of life, providing you with the love and community you need to thrive. Comments are closed.
