My Chaos began Dec. 23, 1996, when I was one month away from turning 42 years old. My husband went out to play basketball with one of our sons, some nieces, nephews, and friends. He never returned home. He fell on the court with a massive heart attack and was unable to be revived. Life was completely changed in an instant for my two boys and me. This tragic loss created a strained relationship with my in-laws. However, as the days passed, my sons and I became closer to each other. It’s hard to describe, but, in the pain, God felt very near. I could feel the prayers of friends and family sweep over me. Knowing both my faith and trust in God and my husband's faith in God made it easier for me to know he was experiencing the joy of heaven. There have been many twists and turns through the years, but I know if I stay focused on God, lean on him, and thank Him for all things, life flows much better. My main advice would be prayer and thanksgiving. Always lean on God's Word first. Then you can lean on family, friends, and church family. He is Our Salvation. In Psalm 62:1, we read, "Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him." These words can echo deep in the hearts of those navigating loss. We know that our salvation is rooted in God's unwavering love. No matter the challenges we face, we can find peace, hope, and joy in His presence. Life often brings chaos and uncertainties, but in John 16:33, Jesus reassures us, saying, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Through Christ, we can embrace His victory over all trials, finding peace that transcends our circumstances. The joy of heaven is a promise that sustains us. The joy of our salvation deeply rooted in our personal relationship with the Lord So, even when the storms of life rage, we have a hope that is sure. He is our salvation, the source of unending joy, and the provider of peace that steadies our hearts. Let's hold onto these truths and remind ourselves that our faith connects us to an everlasting hope. Through prayer, Scripture, and leaning on God's promises, we can navigate any chaos with confidence, knowing that our salvation is in Him alone. Comments are closed.
