September 10, 2023 Exodus 16 & 17

​1. Following God's Guidance: In Exodus 15:22-23, the Israelites followed God's guidance into the wilderness. Have you ever felt led by God into a situation that seemed uncertain or challenging? How did you respond, and what did you learn from that experience?
 

​2. Life in the Middle: The Israelites found themselves in the middle of the wilderness, far from Egypt and not yet in the Promised Land. What can we learn about the concept of being "in the middle" of life's journey from this passage? How do we navigate such periods in our own lives?

3. Trusting God's Provision: Exodus 16 depicts God's provision of manna in the wilderness. How does this story illustrate the importance of trusting God for our daily needs? What can we do to deepen our trust in God's provision in our lives?

4. Under Real Attack: In Exodus 17:8-16, the Israelites faced a real attack from the Amalekites. What strategies did they employ in this battle, and how does this relate to our spiritual battles in life? How can we apply these strategies in our own faith journey?

5. Seeing the Heart of God: As we read through these passages, what insights do we gain into the heart of God? How does God respond to the complaints and needs of the Israelites? What does this reveal about God's character and compassion?

6. Application to Our Lives: How can the lessons learned from these passages be applied to our lives today? What practical steps can we take to follow God faithfully, trust Him in difficult times, and seek to understand His heart more deeply?
