For Kids (Ages 6-12):
1.  The Golden Calf:  What do you think a golden calf is? Why do you think the people made one when Moses was on the mountain?
 

​What can we do when we have to wait for something or someone?
 
3.  Moses Talking to God:  Moses talked to God on the mountain. Do you talk to God? What are some things you might want to say to Him?
 
4.  Being Sorry:  Sometimes we make mistakes, like the people who made the calf. What can we do when we make a mistake or do something wrong?
 
5.  God's Promises:  God made +a new promise with the people after they said sorry. What are some promises that Mom and Dad have made to you? Why is it important to keep promises?
 
For Teenagers (Ages 13-18):
1.  The Golden Calf and Idolatry:  In the story, the people made a golden calf and worshipped it. What do you think idolatry means today, and how can it be a challenge in our lives?
 
2.  Moses' Intercession:  Why do you think Moses prayed for the people, even though they did something wrong? How can we learn from his example in our relationships with friends or family?
 
3.  Encountering God:  Moses had a unique encounter with God on the mountain. Have you ever felt God's presence in a special way? How can we seek God's presence in our lives?
 
4.  The New Covenant:  The new covenant in Exodus 34 is like a fresh start. What do you think a fresh start means for us today, and how can we embrace it in our faith?
 
5.  Waiting on God:  Waiting can be tough. What are some things in your life where you're waiting for something? How can we learn patience and trust while waiting on God?
 
6.  The Impact of Sin and Repentance:  Discuss the consequences of sin and the process of repentance. How can we help each other grow in our faith and avoid making the same mistakes?
 
7.  Family Reflection:  As a family, how can we apply the lessons from this sermon in our daily lives and grow together in our faith journey?
